We have all met at least one outstanding nurse whose courage, competence and commitment to patients and the nursing profession stands out above all others.  May 6, 2012 marked the 8th annual celebration of Iowa's Great Nurses.  The 2012 honorees gathered at the newly renovated Veteran's Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines with more than 950 family members, friends and colleagues to be recognized for their outstanding careers and achievements.  The address was given by Cathy Wilson-Sands of Waverly Health Center, an honoree of 2011.  To read her remarks click here.
