May 6, 2018, marked the 14th annual celebration of Iowa’s Great Nurses. The 2018 honorees gathered at the Iowa Events Center’s Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines – along with more than 1,000 family members, friends, and colleagues – to be recognized for outstanding careers and achievements.

 Tenaea Jeppeson, RN
 RN, Buena Vista Regional Medical Center

Since 2011, Tenaea Jeppeson has served as a geriatric behavioral and mental health nurse for Buena Vista Medical Center in Storm Lake, IA. Tenaea was named a 100 Great Iowa Nurse in 2017, and was also a recipient of a 100 Great Iowa Nurses Financial Education Award in 2017. In May 2018, she received her master’s degree in nursing from Allen College to become a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
