May 6, 2018, will mark the 14th annual celebration of Iowa’s Great Nurses. The 2018 honorees will gather at the Iowa Events Center’s Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines – along with more than 1,000 family members, friends, and colleagues – to be recognized for outstanding careers and achievements.

Since 2011, Tenaea Jeppeson has served as a geriatric behavioral and mental health nurse for Buena Vista Medical Center in Storm Lake, IA. Tenaea was named a 100 Great Iowa Nurse in 2017, and was also a recipient of a 100 Great Iowa Nurses Financial Education Award in 2017. In May 2018, she will receive her master’s degree in nursing from Allen College to become a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
